Catch-up coverage for 22 October 2026, reviewed on 26 October. First publication is recorded separately below.
A dog-show date can appear settled in a general calendar and still need checking against the event's own information. Our 26 October review found conflicting November dates for two Scottish championship shows. This diary note sets out the discrepancy so owners can check the right event before arranging travel.
Glasgow: organiser and venue list 14 November
The Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland lists its championship show for Saturday 14 November 2026. The SEC event page gives the same date at the SEC Centre, Glasgow, with doors listed at 10am and the event start still to be announced. November times in Scotland are GMT.
Those two primary listings agree with each other. However, the Royal Kennel Club's general 2026 calendar currently shows 21 November for the association. We have not treated that general-calendar entry as confirmation that the organiser has changed its announced date.
Ingliston: the venue lists 21 November
The Royal Highland Centre's Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Scotland listing gives Saturday 21 November 2026 in the Lowland Hall, with Gate 5 and a 7.30am–6pm doors-open window. Its general-calendar counterpart shows 7 November. The venue's window is not an individual dog's judging time.
Check the schedule before making commitments
These are upcoming, advertised events, not results reports. The discrepancy is a reason to confirm the current schedule with the relevant organiser using its published enquiry route. Check your class, the arrival arrangements and any changes close to the date. We have not verified current entry availability, fees, spectator tickets or whether an unentered dog may attend, and a public listing does not answer those questions.
A useful diary entry saves the organiser's page alongside the date, rather than retaining only a screenshot or an older calendar. If two records disagree, resolve that difference before paying for transport or accommodation.
Make the dog's needs part of the plan
For an owner considering a separate grooming visit around an event, discuss the dog and the intended service directly with the business. Our appointment checklist helps with that conversation. A directory listing does not confirm show experience or event availability.
