Frequently asked questions

Find a groomer, understand a listing or manage your business details. If your question is not covered, contact support.

Finding care

What does GroomNear do?

GroomNear helps people discover dog-grooming businesses and read dog-care articles and news. We do not book appointments, collect grooming payments or provide veterinary services. Contact a business directly to confirm its current services, prices and availability.

How do I find a groomer near me?

Search by town or postcode, choose a service and adjust the radius to see more options. You can browse a list or map. Device location is optional and only requested when you choose to share it. Map positions and distances are approximate; check the appointment address with the business.

Is the directory free?

Browsing, accounts, basic business listings and ownership claims are currently free. Groomers charge separately for their own services. There is no automatic paid upgrade or subscription.

Why might a phone number, email or website be missing?

We only show public business contacts when the information is suitable for publication. Some older imported listings may be incomplete or out of date. Please tell support if you have a correction; do not assume a missing contact means a business is closed.

For businesses

How do I add a business that is missing?

Search the directory first to avoid a duplicate. Then register, confirm your account email and use Add a business in My Account. Submit accurate public details and explain your authority to represent it. Support reviews the submission before publication.

How do I claim an existing business?

Open its listing and choose Claim this business. Sign in, confirm your email and explain your role and how support can independently check your authority. Email confirmation alone does not establish business ownership. Do not send passwords or identity documents in the claim form. Claims stay private until reviewed.

Can I change my listing after a claim is approved?

Yes. Use My Account to suggest changes to the business you manage. The existing public listing stays in place while support reviews your update. An ownership badge means authority to manage the listing was checked; it is not a certification of grooming quality, qualifications or insurance.

What if my claim or update is rejected?

Check the status in My Account. If you have new information or disagree, contact support with the reference shown there. Access will not be transferred without independent checks.

Corrections and privacy

How do I report an incorrect or concerning page?

Use the support form or email support@groomnear.com with the page link, the specific concern and a safe way to reply. No account is needed. We prioritise credible safety, impersonation, privacy and unlawful-content reports. See our content standards.

What happens to information I send to support?

We use it to investigate and respond to your request, not to sign you up for marketing. Please share only necessary details and avoid passwords, payment data or identity-document numbers. See the privacy notice for your rights and our retention approach.

Are articles and map locations guarantees?

No. Articles are general information, not veterinary diagnosis or individual treatment advice. Business information can change, and map positions can be approximate. Confirm important details directly with the groomer, and ask a qualified vet about your dog's health.
