One international weekend can offer several different ways to watch dogs and handlers work together. The American Kennel Club lists its National Championship for 12–13 December 2026 in Orlando, Florida, with agility, rally and obedience events alongside the show. For UK readers interested in canine sport, the value is seeing those disciplines on their own terms.

Put the right dates in the diary

The organiser's event page identifies the Orange County Convention Center as the venue. Its 2026 premium list specifies the North/South Building and lists show hours of 7am–11pm. Those are venue hours, not a promise that every discipline or broadcast runs throughout them. Orlando uses Eastern Standard Time on these December dates, five hours behind the UK: 7am there is noon GMT here. The timetable should still be checked for the individual session.

Watch the discipline, not just the headline

AKC lists the Agility Invitational, RACH Invitational and Obedience Classic alongside the championship. Its viewer information says coverage is planned through AKC.tv. Follow the organiser's current links when coverage is released; this page does not embed a player or promise a particular UK broadcast slot. Watching an American competition can be an interesting introduction, but it does not explain eligibility or rules for entering a UK event.

Read entry deadlines separately

The premium list gives an entry deadline of 3pm CST on Wednesday 4 November 2026. That is 9pm GMT, and it is not the date of the show. A published deadline does not confirm that an individual dog qualifies, that a submitted entry has been accepted or that places remain. Use the organiser's requirements before making any plan involving a dog, travel or payment.

Keep a preview separate from results

As checked on 19 October, the weekend is upcoming. The organiser also displays previous years' winners; those are archive results, not a 2026 outcome. Our Event collection keeps dated previews together, while breed profiles offer a different route into canine history and coat care. Neither a show result nor a polished coat proves that a grooming service is right for your own dog.
